A BBC Radio 4 charity appeal for INF was broadcast in February 2024.
Our Radio 4 appeal focuses on Parbati’s story of rehabilitation, having been left paralysed in 2019 after falling from a tree while collecting food for her family’s goats. She couldn’t get herself out of bed and was totally dependent on her husband. She couldn’t look after her two children, or even go to the toilet on her own.
INF Nepal provided Parbati with her first wheelchair and adapted her home to help restore her independence and dignity. She can now once again play a full part in family life.
Our appeal is presented by Anne Wafula Strike, a former Paralympian and disability rights advocate who is a friend of INF. Click the button below to listen online at any time. Thank you.
